Braking shimmy

My vettes got about 17500 miles on it. Today I noticed when coming to a stop at lights the front end has a shimmy to it. I can also feel it through thee steering wheel when starting off slowly from the light. Would this be warped rotors? If so would it be warranteed?

Yep, your rotors are warped, and it should easily be covered under warranty. I know plenty of f-bodies that had them replaced under warranty w/ no problems.

Actually rotors, clutch , etc are not covered under the warranty. The dealer may do itas goodwill, but those parts arenot covered by the mfg warranty.

If you feel it through your steering wheel at higher speeds and you are not pressing your brakes check the balancing of the front wheels. :seeya

I just took my Vette in because my brakes were pulsating. The rotors were bad. $155.00 to repair them or resurface them. Not covered under warranty. Although I do have 36,000 miles compared to yours, you might get away from paying for it, just be a little hard, your rotors should not be going out at 17000 miles period.
