I just finished replacing my A/C Compressor on my 00 coupe, with of course the help from Rocco's How to. Now here's my issue, after completeing the install and readying for the add of the additional PAG46via the pressurized can, I noticed the compressor clutch struggling to turn freely with the engine on and the A/C on. Not wanting to damage anything I have left the car sitting in the garage and am here to seek
any recomendations.
Yes I added the pag oil to the compressor before install.
No R134a or PAG46 (pressurized can) have been added as the directions
on the can recomend adding with the engine running and the A/C on.
With the engine off will the clutch turn smoothly? You can put vacuum on the system and add freon at first. The clutch will not engage without some kind of pressure in the system.
