Anyone have any valid info regarding your gains made from the Powerloader alone......
thanks
The fact that the Powerloader is WAY more popular with the A4 bunch probably says the bulk of the performance difference is in shifting charactertistics of the automatic and not horsepower and torque gains. The M6 guys don't seem to have seen much difference. Do a forum search and I think you'll see what I mean...:yesnod:

Loaded the TTS Powerloader on my 2000 A4 w.315 axle this morning. I LIKE the shift and transmission response.
I was disapointed on the dyno.
Stock 2000 (K&N airfilter & '02 LS6 filter cover)
Today after Powerloader install: HP= 294.8 Torque=302.1 (both SAE corrected)
These were numbers I'd expect to see prior to the computer tunning. Thus, I don't think that you really pick up any HP with the powerloader. But those of us with A4 trannies will appreciate the change in transmission response. I also had a Hypertech III but the Powerloader is a much better transmission manager. No real HP gains with either one.
Re: Powerloader HP & Torque Gains... (Vespa-Vette)
Good seeing you at the dyno today. Don't be too dissapointed. Those are just numbers. Heck, you already won 1st place in your class at Big Bend, be happy for that!
Talk to you later

Re: Powerloader HP & Torque Gains... (2001 Red Coupe Bandit)
Bandit,
I was looking at my dyno printouts (3 pulls) and noticed that my max hp was acheived between 3,800 & 4,800 RPMs. After about 4800-5000 RPMs the hp droped off by about 10 hp and holds steady out to about 6,200RPMs. I didn't dyno before the powerloader so I don't know what stock looks like. Max torque hits and immediately starts falling off at about 5,200 to 5,300 RPMs with a very steep decline. Do you have a similar pattern on your reports?
Also, my air/fuel ratio always starts out at 13 until I hit 5,100 RPMS and then it falls to 12. Does your's do the same? Is this also a function of the Powerloader?

First you need a good air intake like the Vortex, with PL I dynoed at 307 hp. My max hp came from 5300 to 6100 rpms (stock cam), read your graph again!
I loaded at the track....did pre and post runs....I gained 2/10ths, same nite, same track, pre and post runs made within minutes of each other
