Default Code P0327

I wanted to replace my oil pressure sensor using post #76 in C5 Tech. The video made it look easy, but I could not get my hand in there let alone the deep socket, so I used VectorZ's pic at

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-t...placement.html

I went in and tried to move the intake forward 6 inches to replace the oil pressure sensor, but I did not because I wasn't sure about the injectors.

Will they leak gasoline if I disconnect them per vector's link?

After I moved the intake forward, I discovered a cracked/broken vacuum line leading from the value cover passenger side, and patched it with duck tape. The cracked part was behind the intake. This turned off codes P0171 and P0174.

I put the intake back in place, started the car and Code P0327 displayed - Knock Sensor.

Any advice about P0327? Will it cause an emissions inspection failure?

No, it will not affect emissions. You probably pinched the KS harness........or damaged it. Sometimes trying to take a shortcut, will result in more work/expense. If you want to resolve this issue, the intake will have to be removed completely....not just moved forward.

Thanks, Lucky, I will completely remove the intake.

Will the fuel injectors leak fuel if I disconnect them to remove the intake?

You don't have to disconnect the fuel injectors from the intake. The injectors and fuel rail can be left attached. You only need disconnect the electrical plugs for each injector. After relieving fuel pressure at the rail, the fuel line can be disconnected, and rotated out of the way. Yes, you will get a little fuel dribbling out of the line...and rail. Have a rag ready, or use plugs/caps.

I just took my intake off last night. I got fuel that leaked from the metal fuel line off the drivers side, but no where else. It wasn't much and I had a towel handy that caught all of it.
My injectors did not leak when I pulled the intake off because I only disconnected the electrical connections to them.

Default Pinched Knock Sensor Wire

Thanks Lucky, I did pinch the wire pretty badly, ordered one from Gene and replaced it. Took the intake off all the way this time, instead of moving it forward 6 inches
