This is probably too late since it's now 9pm and I just saw the post, but try starting the car, then turning the ignition off then on again VERY quickly, quickly enough that the engine doesn't even have a chance to die. Worked for me before.

The other way is to get one of the column lock bypass kits. Mine came with instructions on how to unlock the steering wheel if you were a victim.
GM has a recall notice to replace the column lock on certain years of the C5. Talk to your dealer....it may be a free service fix.

Same thing happened to me check out my most recent post on this board I think. I will post a follow up b/c I was charged up the kazoo for something to do with it.
I dont want to really post another one at the moment unless someone cannot answer it but I was told this is not a recall. Something that is not my problem and screws me over should be a recall. I need more insight.
