Default LS1 intake swap out ??

i am looking to swap out my LS1 intake for an LS6 intake. what (besides the LS6 intake manifold) would i need to complete this installation?

Search feature is your friend.

However, you will need a coolant bypass line (discontinued from GM... I think you can get one at Thunder Racing) and 2 coolant plugs.

If this is for your 2002 in your profile you already have an LS6 intake. Starting in 2001 all LS1 corvettes have the same LS6 intake courtesy of chevrolet. Unless of course it has a pre 2001 engine for some reason.

you do not need the coolant bypass. if you indeed have the old LS1 intake and are putting in a flat bottom LS6 all you need to do is take a pair of pliers and snap the eggcrate plastic ribs off of the bottom and it will fit perfectly. There is no harm, it takes 10 minutes, and you dont have to change the way the coolant flows through the engine.
