Default No SERVICE MANUAL

Posted yesterday, and got no replies, so I am trying again. Installed A&A Corvette supercharger kit and now I have the air bag light on, thinking I must have done something to the front crash sensor, problem is that I do not know where to look, anybody on the forum know where its at, the car is a 1997, any help appreciated. Regards

Check your DIC for codes - they may tell you what's wrong. To check Codes turn on ignition but don't start engine. Hold down Options button and hit Fuel button 4 times. DIC will scroll thru codes if any. Post codes for info on what they mean.

Many of us elect to not respond for various reasons. Example is that I saw your thread but since I know nothing about superchargers or their installations, I wasn't going to post anything that would be totally meaningless. That doesn't mean you need to go open another thread though. There are thousands of users here and someone will have the answer you are looking for. As Bob Chapman did ask, pull and post your codes. Will guess that possibly you left the front impact sensor disconnected following your installation but I caution you...messing with the airbag system with the battery connected is a really bad idea.

The '97s and '98s have the impact sensor mounted in the front bumper area. Probably mounted on the steel cross-beam (GM calls it the front bumper impact bar). Since all the air-bag related components and their connectors are yellow, look around up front to see if it's disconnected or the wiring is damaged. You may have to get underneath to get at the backside of the bumper area for a good look.

Starting in '99, the location changed to inside the car.

I'm sure if you called Andy at A&A he would be glad to help you out.
