Default 1" wheel spacers (update)

For any of you running 1" hub centric wheel spacers (not wider) did you have to nip off the end/tip (non threaded) of the stock studs?
I installed L5 fenders with C6Z06 wheels and 335s. I want the tires a little closer to the lip, so I got a set of 1" spacers. The problem, is that once I install the spacer, the studs (longer than 1") hit the wheel hub.
I can nip them off, but wanted to check in to see what other guys are doing

After putting 1" spacers on the rear of my 97 I did have to grind about 1/8" off the unthreaded part of stud. I would imagine that many people don't notice the small gap after installing the spacers.

Mini tub it I did mine in a weekend. The hardest part is trying to get the fender linners to fit. I have MSI flares and a 2" tub. I run 345-30-19 on stock OEM C6Z wheels. Much better look with all that tire UNDER the car.

The tires don't rub at all. I hust want the tires to come a little further out. Don't want it to look like a Trans Am from the back

I can't imagine there being any issues with grinding off "unthreaded" bolt, but just wanted some feedback
It seemed odd that no one had mentioned it before

A pin than. I have not seen this setup but grinding some LENGTH off doesn't seem to be a big deal.

If you notice there are no threads on the end of the studs. You can remove that portion with no issues.

Please show us a picture of your hub-centric spacers. I have never seen any that are truly hub-centric.

Not sure what you mean, but they fit tight on the wheel hub, then have their own machined hub that the wheel fits tight on. I can slip them on the "hub" of the wheel and they're so snug that they sit right there with no bolts

I just got my hubcentrics and they are wonderful. I will get some pics with the C6Z06 calipers on.

I nipped 1/4" off of the end (no threads) and they work perfect. The tire comes to the edge of the L5 fender, which is how I like it. I would have preferred 3/4", but not really available.
The car is smooth as silk. I did a few hard launches to test the strength, and everything's ok so far.
I got these from an auction site for around $60.
I don't have any photos right now because Im working on the wifes car
