A4 Help
Had P1870 code. Slow shifting 3-4, hard 1-2. Chanced out the valve body and pressure plate. Now I still have the slow 3-4 and no reverse when tranny is hot. No codes.
Since the valve body doesn't control the reveres, what is happrning?
Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
BTW I double and triple checked the torque on all the bolts and sequence two to three times.

Have you had the TCC valve in the valve body replaced? If not that could solve those issues. Its a kit that replaces a weak design by reaming a larger opening and using a new larger piston/valve. Most trans shops can R/R this for you without removing anything but the pan and valve body.

Recheck fluid level. It is VERY IMPORTANT to check the fluid level when the fluid is between ~86 deg, F - 122 Deg. F. (per GM spec.)
I had a slight slipping after a H/C install. I checked the Trans fluid @ 180 deg., it was full. I let it cool to the proper temp ~100 deg. and I was 22 oz. low!!!!
