Thermostat Trouble
I have a '98 Auto Corvette LS1.
I'm intending to install a 160 degree thermostat, but am having a heck of a time finding one to fit. Both units that have been ordered through AutoZone (most recent being Hypertech Part No. 1014) do not fit into the inside diameter of the water pump opening for the tstat. The opening in the pump is 1-3/4" while the Hypertech needs a 2" opening. Can anyone direct me to the correct part?

Seems like I remember seeing on the Forum that earlier C5s used a different housing/thermostat diameter. Perhaps a check with a Chevy parts guy could confirm, 'tho if the above is right I'm surprised the parts stores aren't on top of it.
