Default Autozone ditched Gator?! WTF?

Hi all,
So I have a terrible and I mean louder than my exhaust squeal emitting near the engine around the alternator at around 4500-5500 RPM. It is actually embarrassing when revving the engine. So I assume serpentine belt, and want to stab at that one before replacing an alternator or tensioner.

I make my way to Autozone to buy a Gator and I'm informed Autozone (as of 60 days ago) dropped Gator for Dayco. Is this true in your areas? A lot of people in our forum and abroad love Gator and this is a real disappointment if local parts stores like Autozone stop selling them.

Looks like I'm back to the interwebz for parts...

Yeah, they did it awhile ago. The Dayco belts work just as well. I've had one on mine for 4 years.

I replaced mine recently and went with Gatorback but too found Autozone no longer carried them. Got mine from Summit Racing. Part numbers are

GTR-4040420 and GTR-4060798 - total including shipping was $52.93

Good luck

Thanks for the info guys!! I am ordering those parts and crossing my fingers I don't need to inspect the alternator.

FWIW,
Lowest price I found on Gatorbacks I bought last month was on Amazon. Wasn't having problems with original belt, just part of my 50K PM.
The belt lasted 2 weeks.
I went back to GM belts.
