Default Dyno estimates for all new setup

99 LS1, 109K miles, pistons looked good, cleaned up no pits or damage.

added LS6 intake/ported LS6 TB, 243s with PRC .675 springs, new seals, G5x2 LG cam, no cats on stock h pipe, Z06 Ti exhaust, stock 99 exhaust manifolds, 25% underdrive ASP pulley, 160 t stat, ls7 lifters, Comp pushrods, C5R timing chain and new ported oil pump... Clint from True Street just called and I got to hear it idle. It sounds pretty damn bad ***, I was worried it was going to be too small of a cam but it chops like a Magic Stick. So much for my daily driver...

Any estimates on power? It made 308/320 in humid low 80 weather (13.7AF which is a touch lean), about the same as what it will be tomorrow...

Im hopeful for 390-400hp but I dunno if it will get that much without headers... with headers this thing should easily do 430 Id suspect. Ill put 1 7/8 Kooks and 3" X on it when it needs a clutch, prob in 3-6 months... if I get right near 400 I may just put some C5z manifolds on it for cheap to keep it quiet...

Just picked up my 2002 (automatic transmission) LS-1 coupe from Quality Motorsports. The car has the following mods:
1. LG Superpro L/T headers
2. FIPK air intake (K&N)
3. Z06 Ti Exhaust
4. Tune
Work steps 1 - 4 were performed by LG last November. Dyno results: 333 hp and 347 p/f of torque (dyno results measured in 45 degree ambient temperature).

Additional mods done by Quality Motorsports this week:
4. AFR 210 heads
5. A mild cam (224-230; 585-585; 115/115)
6. Ported (stock L6) intake manifold
7. Ported stock throttle body
8. 160 degree thermostat

This week's dyno results: 401 hp and 392 p/f of torque at the wheels (measured in 75 degree ambient temperature)

I am happy with the results, which met my expectations. But I am still curious: are my current power numbers within a reasonable range of the results of others who have made the same mods?

U have an auto and a smallish cam... Those r great heads. U coulda gone bigger on the cam but I'd say ur power is about spot on for an aito car.

Thanks for the feedback.

I agree with your assessment. However, I purposely picked a mild cam since (a) an automatic transmission isn't the ideal set-up for a more aggressive cam anyway (don't intend to drag race it) and (b) I didn't want to wobble around too much when stopped at red lights.

Ur power is great for a small street cam and auto... Autos usually dyno about 5 to 8% lower than manuals due to higher drivetrain losses

With a stick ud be 425ish as it sits I think.

I think we were talking about STRKED's setup, but this got so 'jacked, I'm not sure which build..... J/K, Without headers, it makes the rest of your mods lose alot of their potential, but I totally understand why you haven't done them yet. About 385/390 I'd guess, with tune.
