rear wheel stud replacement OEM length
searched and all I found was guys replacing rear studs with longer than OEM
I want to install new OEM length studs in the rear
installing NAPA replacement OEM length studs will give me threads all the length of the stud, so I'll gain 10mm of thread engagement
so the question is can a stock length rear stud be replaced without either drilling the hole in the backing plate or pulling the hub ?
both for removal and installations?
have this tool that I used to remove all studs in both Miatas
http://www.amazon.com/OTC-7315A-Univ...074174&sr=1-22
the Corvette and Miata OEM studs are the same length so I know the tool will press them from the hub flange

The roadracing and autocross page is your friend here, do a search in there, the subject has been beaten to death..
As far as I recall, no you can't do it without drilling a hole or removing the hub.

For stock you can drill the plate. That's a pita and it's just as easy to remove the hub. I didn't need the removal tool, mine tapped out pretty easily. No BFH needed.
