I just had discount replace all four of the tire pressure sensors and he said I had to drive the car some for them to start working. Is this true and it's a 99 model

You have to program the car before they'll work at all. Did anyone program them? It shouldn't take long at all to get readings from them. It might not work while it's sitting still but once you start moving it shouldn't take long.
