HVAC issues?

HVAC issues?
I know there is lot of topics on this one but I figure I will ask since my HVAC seems to have a few issues….
I noticed when it was colder that my defrost through the A-Pillars doesn’t work (dash works fine)
And now that it’s hot out I went to turn the air on and got nothing. So I decided to get a kit and charge it. Come to notice pressure is fine in the system. So Go to use the Air and still warm. Pull the fuse for the AC and swap it with the fog light fuse, try to force another can through the system and all of a sudden the AC works.
Now the driver’s side doesn’t seem very cold/blow hard. The passenger side blows hard and is noticeably colder. I had the woman also check to make sure it wasn’t just me lol
I am thinking that the drivers side actuator my be out of adjustment or something, but what about the not as cool part. Would this be the HVAC unit itself?
The Car is also a regular HVAC not a dual climate HVAC.
