I had to remove all 3 fuel lines from the left sided fuel pump as I had a gas leak and found out it was because rats had eaten through 2 of the 3 fuel lines. I had the car in the barn for too long. I was able to splice one of the lines and reconnected it but the fuel line that bifurcates is impossible to reconnect back up through that little space where your hand can't even fit. I was able to pull the chewed out line from below and I ordered a replacement line but there is no way to put the line back in. I have the car on 4 jackstands. What is my next step. Do I have to remove the left fuel tank and how can I do that if I have the car on the jackstands. It sounds crazy, but I am tempted to cut through the top of the car to get the lines in. Need help. Thanks.

If you remove the bottom cover/retainer it might be easier to reach the lines. If you need to remove the tank you might be able to reach up and remove the crossover hose clamp if you have small hands. I have a DTE brace so I had to drop the rear cradle to reach up there.

I have the bottom cover off and I can't get to the crossover clamp to get the fuel tank off. What is a DTE brace and I think the only way to get these lines in are to remove the rear cradle but how can that be done if I don't have a lift and the car is on jackstands ? Thanks.
