Default LS1-ARH work on LS3 heads?

That's the question, hope it's not too simple ( like I should already know this.... ) If I were to drop an LS3 into my C5 will the 1 3/4 headers work? Thanks, Dave

As I read up on this question, looks like the exhaust ports are quite different and would require a different header flange-end design. any input?? If the 1 3/4" ARH would fit the LS3 heads, would they restrict flow?? Thanks, Dave

Headers are based on the model vette (fitment and EGR tubes) you have and whether or not you will be using cats or not. I have a '99 C5, have used both 1 3/4 Dynatech and 1 7/8 ARH headers on my LS2 stroker w/ LS3 heads. The only issue is the (AIR/EGR) ugly tubes for the 98-99 models. They make some nice caps to cover them, I just had mine welded shut. No problems at all. BTW, the exhaust ports are still round for the most part on the LS3s, the intake is what is different. Some folks have had a little problem with the fitment of the ARHs around the chassis area, usually due to height of engine and how the headers turn before the collector. I didn't have this problem, but I did have to reroute my oil hoses to my oil cooler up front, but that was no big deal. I've had none of the fitment problems. Give ARH a call if you still have questions, they have some really great customer service! Below is the LS3 exhaust port.

Absolutely they will fit. I run an LS2 block 427 with LS3 heads and run 1 7/8 ARH LT's.

Looks like I'll be running a set of Brodix LS7 heads this winter - still with the same 1 7/8 ARH LT's.

Good to know the exhaust bolts up. I knew the intake was different, but hadn't given the exhaust any thought.
