well my belt broke at the strip last night and in doing so it took some wires with it.
now my question is where do they go? when it happened i got a bunch of messages on the DIC. shocks inop, ride control inop, tcs inop, abs inop, and said no more than 80mph.
it looks like they where running along the passenger side by the ac compressor. it looks like its only four or five wires.
Look closely at the wire colors, hard to see in the pic.
The only twisted pair, and twisted triple wires I can think of in that area would be for the position sensor, and shock solenoid.....which would make sense.....given the codes you have.
Are they as follows?
Purple/white stripe
Tan/white stripe
Light blue/white stripe
Gray
Light blue
just that they are supposed to be twisted, and not run straight
from the 2001 manual
"Twisted-pair wires provide an effective shield that helps protect sensitive electronic components from electrical interference. If the wires were covered with shielding, install new shielding.
In order to prevent electrical interference from degrading the performance of the connected components, you must maintain the proper specification when making any repairs to the twisted-pair wires shown :
The wires must be twisted a minimum of 9 turns per 31 cm (12 in) as measured anywhere along the length of the wires
The outside diameter of the twisted wires must not exceed 6.0 mm (0.25 in)

Right, but you can see by the schematic symbols, that the wires are twisted, not shielded. Running twisted signal wires was implemented many years ago on aircraft, where long wire runs were subject to interference. I believe the Bose system does employ twisted and shield wiring.
so question, i went and looked at some wrecked vettes and they were the z51 package. they didnt have those purple wires all i saw was a tan and green wire that went to both wheels. so if i took my f45 system out and just went with a z51 suspension would i have to do anything with these wires or do something in the pcm so they didnt recieve signal anymore?

That's a whole new thread on deactivating the suspension. You can also find a procedure if you search.

i understand that. my question is ,is it possible? i dont "have" to repair these wires if i delete the f45 option? i can get different shocks thats not a big deal.
i also found a green and tan wire broken, it was in its own harness and from what it looks like it runs to both front wheels>?
i know you need a tech 2 and unplug them but is it possible?
