If you are talking about removing the Hurst ball, there is a nut under the ****.
Using an 11/16"(?) open end wrench, loosen the nut from the ball, then turn the ball off the shaft.
If you get that done, give me a pm & I will give you the info that will make your stock boot, properly fit the new shortened shifter.
I just cut along the threads for about an inch of the boot to get the opening wider, turned it inside out, and zip-tied it to the post of the shifter, then re-installed the Hurst ball.
Thanks for the Help!
