last night i unhooked my battery. when i hooked it back up my cd player turned on.i did not know till i came out few hours later. since then it will not turn off with the car nor when the door is opened why is this. i didnt touch the cd player at all and it worked perfect before.
Never heard this one before. So, guess the places to start would be to check the battery's static voltage with the ignition off. Next, pull your codes and post them. Lastly a question: have you interfaced anything into the stock audio such as an Ipod, amps or whatever? Stock radio?
Not sure what the MAF has to do with the audio but oh well. If you are running an after-market flip-out radio, the OEM CD player connects to the OEM radio therefore commands from the BCM go to the radio and finally to the CD Player. Since the door opening, the BCM commands go out to shut down the audio and since you aren't running the OEM radio, that command doesn't reach the CD Player...just my guess....unless I'm messed up completely and didn't understand.

It appears from the diagram for a '99 in my case, that the Dark Green wire to the CD player is the data buss line which is connected to the Instrument Panel Cluster serial data buss interconnect. I think its mounted on or near the steering column. Basically its a shorting bar type thing across a connector there. If you are running the radio and open the door, the BCM sends out a command on that buss to the radio and CD Player to shut off. Now if the dark green wire to and from the radio has been severed by your new head unit, then things won't work. Does the radio shut off when you open the door after your battery disconnect and reconnect?

its a aftermarket cd player/flip out also it doesnt shut off at all. but it use to shut off when i opened my doors before i disconnected the battery now i got nothing
Ok, so this is totally aftermarket. I suggest you post the problem in the audio section of the forum where a lot more knowledgeable people are. I was trying to assist with stock OEM.
