when upgrading wheels, is it advisable to...
take the tire sensors off the originals and switch them to the new wheels or buy a new set of sensors? is it possible to switch them?

I think it depends on the rim if they will fit or not, but no reason to by new ones if yours worked, I switched mine over to my new zo6 rims today :D

:seeya buck and tex, thanks for the input. I'd probably keep the original wheels. john at ccw is who I'm leaning toward for new wheels and so far as I've heard, he's about as skilled and knowledgable as they come. I'll talk to him more as that time approaches (tax return comes in).

I would say just switch them I had to swap a front rim and it cost me $15 to mount the tire on teh new wheel, swap sensor, and balance with sticky weights on a hunter machine. Sensor works fine didn't even need to be recalibrated since it didn't change locations. The only problem I heard is that some say change the little o-ring on the sensor when you move them, I didn't and had no problem I think it depends on the condition of the o-ring. (miles, age weather etc)
