Guys I have a 98 corvette and I think I have a bad rod bearing. I was wondering what you sugugust to do. I have a cam and 5.3 heads and it makes right at 400 horse power. It also runs 12.0 in the quarter. Would you fix the 5.7 block or go after a 6.0 or newer block. I know I have to have some michine work done so just wondering what you guys thought. Once I rebuild what ever I do I will put spray on it. Thanks in advance.
I spun rods and mains in my ls1 at 98k. I debated rebuilding and doing new heads and a cam but the urge to go 6.0 was too much. Besides it gives you the option to pick up some L92's and with the right cam selection you wont be disappointed. I thought the vette was amazing with 350 @ the crank , 500 @ the crank is a whole different story my brother. If you've got the money go for it!
