Telescoping steering column not working after stereo install???

Ok, so I just swapped out the head-unit from stock to a Kenwood unit and all of a sudden now the telescoping feature on the steering column is not working. I find it hard to believe that they are related - what does the stereo have to do with the telescoping of the steering column?

I just did a search and didn't find any results that were even close to what I'm looking for, so hopefully someone can help...

Does anyone have any suggestions on what this might be? Is there a common problem with this and a known solution (disconnected wire? blown fuse? bad ground?)???

The steering column is controlled by the SCM under the driver's seat. Check the connectors at the base of the seat where it plugs into the car. Pull the codes

You could of hooked the radio to a hot wire and its draining your battery. Also could be same of the relays need to be replaced.
