Whiney Butt
2003 Coupe, 54k, A4,2.73 I started noticing a whine from the rear of the car shortly after a change from stock GY runflats to Michelin Pilot Sport A/S ZP plus. I'm not really sure that the noise wasn't already there as I am very hard of hearing. Now that I am aware of it (after my son asked if I could hear it) it seems to come from the left rear rather then from the middle of the car? The noise varies only with speed. Could I have one bad tire making noise? Anybody ever hear of this? Is there some way for the left side half shaft to whine? Or do I have the dreaded diff whine? How do I diagnose? Any help would be greatly appreciated before I shell out big bucks for a new 3.42. Thanks!

Hop on I69 and go south down to exit 22, turn right and two miles we are on the left.... 1426 W 53rd St. Anderson. Couldn't be more than a 30 min drive and I will diagnosis it for free.

Rodney, Thanks for the immediate reply!!!! I live 2 miles from exit 59. How does tomorrow sound? This has been driving me crazy for a while now. If I have a problem other than tires, can you do the repairs? Thanks again.
