Re: The Lingenfelter/Holley Intake (IH8PONYS)
I've been waiting for mine for 2 damn months :mad Holley can kiss my butt Those no good lying ******. ( I feel a little better now)
Can't wait to test it on my car :D
Will post when I get results.
Check on http://www.LS1tech.com There was a guy who installed one there a couple of weeks ago and gained 16? HP( I think) over a LS6 intake, but lost some torque
Check the archives here...I think someone posted that there is no HP gain and there is the added weight of the cast unit...just passing along the information. :chevy :seeya
ok...we have two guys locally who now have this intake...WITHOUT porting and polishing the holley intake it was 15cfm better over the ls6 intake. Once it is ported and polished it should flow more....don't have any numbers for that yet though...cars are still being worked on.
We have used one on a H/C F-body.....even with a killer set of heads, the intake is a little big for a stock bottom-end car. Would be ideal for a stroker or charger/turbo car though. I don't see any need to whittle on the intake though.....lots of volume out of the box.
well i planned on using on a 427 ls1 i am having built, so I want the most flow possible. Thanks for the Input guys!! ALSO kyle when is the site goin to be up?
The Holley intake is having some troubles. Thet fuc*ed up the valley bolts. They stick out 1/8" soooo. TByrne is shipping their batch May 14 supposedly. Holley has been telling vendros that they have NOT shipped any yet, which is TOTAL BS. I have seen one first hand.
I am already selling mine and got a custom aluminm intake.
To port it will take some cash because of the over the top runners. The plate is kinda of small. Extrude honing it is a butt sodomizing $600. It will heat soak I hear from an inside LPE guy, so you will have to coat some of it or use ice. I have heard polishing quotes ranging from $250-500.
I'm surprised none of you have pointed to this thread on that intake http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=295788
some pictures  that may make you think twice :yesnod:  I won't be getting one.
