EBCM Question
While my car is getting front bumper resprayed for rock chips I decided to pull my EBCM off to send it off for repair. Codes 1214 and 1277. Just got the module back today so I thought I'd see if it fixed my ABS and Traction lights. Pulled battery terminal off, installed module. Started car and ABS light is gone but Traction Control light is on and says Service TCS and Active Handing. Checked the codes and there were 2 codes; 1214 and 1277. But both were "History" there was no current codes but the light was on. So cleared the codes and restart car and lights are all gone now.
My question is it common to have to clear the codes after EBCM repair , I was under the impression they cleared on startup if the system was good to go?
