Resynchronizing Keyless remote
I have a 98 and just recently replaced the battery in the keyless remote. When I resynchronize the keyless remote to the car the car will continue to chirp about every 5 minutes and i can hear the car locking and unlocking itself during this time. Any suggestions on how to correct this or am I just doing something wrong?

Sounds like you have passive locking turned on on your remote. Slide it to off or move away from the car. If you have it off, and it still locks, slide the switch back and forth several times to "clean" the contacts and see what happens. If it persists, you can buy a 2000 model fob that still works on your car, but doesn't have the passive option.

I agree...sounds like the passive is on. Pocket dust will turn this function on even though the switch is off. Blow it out then slide the switch on and off a couple of times.
