Aaron also asked me to try to find a TAC module on the assumption that mine just might be bad and the cause of the problem.

However, it appears that those modules are backordered from GM and not expected to be available till mid to late August.

Anyone got a line on a TAC module I could buy?
The pcm's blew up!!!!!!??????? Come on!!!!! Call those place's and make sure they have the tac module in stock.............Paul

Yes I have my old walbrough 255l pump was getting quite loud so I replaced it with a new pump, filter, fuel pressure regulator, exc. My tanks are both exceptionally clean inside.

I really think the issue is in my PCM or something related to the fuel signal, Also think it could possible be a fuel rail pressure issue ie wrong injector size, It's really hard to say I been chasing this issue for over a year. Some times on full acceleration the car runs great and pulls like a freight train and some times it immediatly stumbles and I instantly let off the accelerator.

Honestly think Ive just reached a point that it's beyond my capabilities and I may just half to bite the bullet and send it to a Vette speciatly shop. Just hard to find one here in Las Vegas thats trust worthy and that arent a bunch of hacks.

Yeah... supposedly they have them. I certainly hope so. Aaron and Jim are getting spooked by my car now, I think. It's quite possible that the car might become just a lawn ornament if they can't get a handle on this.

I'm hoping they find a bare wire somewhere that's causing the issues. It's going to be REAL hairy if they put in a new TAC module and the same thing happens.

In case anyone else is looking for one...
Argh, no dice... They are ALL lying about having it in stock.

I found about a dozen car parts websites saying they had it in stock, but they are obviously all just fronts for the same warehouse seller. Same basic layout, same terms and prices, and the same live chat system. They all will lie up front and say they have it in stock to just try to get your order. Then after you order, well gee, no they DON'T have it in stock. I actually called one of them on the phone and was told that I had 31 previous callers ahead of me in line waiting for a representative.

Looks like I'm probably going to have to mothball my car till GM gets the new units in......

This issue seems to be coming up more and more lately. Had someone PM me just the other week with a similar issue. Based on my own experience, you need to replace both the PCM and TAC and re-tune. Not sure why the TAC corrupts the PCM when it goes bad but it does. Yes, my car was tuned in EFI Live originally and ran fine for a few year before the issue came up. Now it is tuned in HP Tuners bur cannot say EFI Live was the source of the issue. My car spent 3 months in the shop and would not run. Multiple PCMs before we replaced the TAC and this solve the issue. Very expensive fix. Bite the bullet and buy the modules from a reputable dealer. Try Gene Culley at GM Parts House or Bob at Fichner Chevrolet. You can search my post on this topic and read about my experience. Good Luck.

Rich, I tried to purchase one at a place like that and they will tell u afterwards that it is on backorder. I would have bought one 6 weeks ago had I been able to find one. Unfortunately, my Z06's problem is water damage oriented so I hope the replaced tacm will fix the problem.
