Default Low Hud

I recently had some body damage repaired on my 04 convertible. Since I got it back the hud is too low to see with the adjustment all the way up. Could the force from being raised improperly or something like that screw up the hud? Is there a way to adjust the mirrors without taking the whole dash out?

Usually the pivot pin has broken and there are several threads here in the forum that talk about it. Sorry but you'll need to remove the dash pad cover to access it but its not as bad as you might think.

I have a similar issue with my 2003 that was hit on the drivers side front. My HUD is okay up and down but it shows on the windshield to the left so much that some letters are cut off on the left of the "sceen". Unfortunatley, I did not notice this when I had the dash pad off to install gauge trim rings. I assume I have to take it off again to fix this?
