The slide switch for cruise off/on has gotten pushed left to the off position.
The clutch switch is out of adjustment or shorted that disengages the cruise when you depress the clutch.
The brake switch is out of adjustment that disengages the cruise when you touch the brake.
Fuse 20 in the passenger foot well.
Speed sensor problem.
Contacts in cruise switch in multi stalk.
Maybe others, but these come to mind.

That was 3 or 4 years ago and it still works fine. I don't know what I did to fix it but there must have been a bad electrical contact somewhere that was eliminated when I began poking around under the dash.
