Default Rotor cleansing

Hello everyone. My name is Tony, a new guy (for about a week or so now) from Michigan. I was wondering, what do you guys use to clean your rotors? I have vented rotors and have noticed a rust ring around the hub. Everything else burns off an a high intensity ride every now and then. I think that the vented rotors look good, but not with that darn ring around the hub. How do we get that off?

Default Rotors

These rotors are 8 years old in this photo and have 80,000 miles on them. They are very easy to maintain. Like the previous poster said.. paint them.
Just mask off the fire paths and use some steel wool to remove the rust ring.. you can use an artist brush or spray them. The best color is silver. A tip would be to heat them up using a high wattage light bulb, then allow them to cool to ambient.. once cool heat them up again and give them a second coat. allow them to cool..
Good Luck

Wait a second, my rotors are not painted. the fire paths are just raw cast iron like any other rotor. I use a very soft brake pad which stops the car on a dime. areas that are exposed to the elements are painted or zinc coated. if you look at my rotors in person they look like they are chrome plated.. Remember these are 8 years old and have 80,000 miles on them. people swear my car is new based on the cleanliness of my rotors and wheel wells.
I know you are complimenting me on the rotor condidition, I just wanted you to knopw that they were not just painted in the photos.. The ring mentioned in the topic tread that rusts is painted silver on my rotors, so there is no rust...
