Header Question (cats)
Im looking to buy a set of long tube headers with x-pipe for my 04 C5. The question is will my car pass emissions if i get a set of headers with out cats? I have a friend with a 05 blown CTS-V with a full exhaust with no cats and he passes. Of course his car was tunned when the blower went on. Will our cars pass with just the headers and a intake? I have no internal mods done. Will i need a tune (if that would even help) or can i get away with the stock programming? Anyone have a catless set up that can tell me? Thanks for the help!

both really, without a tune it is going to run a little rich and smell like fuel. plus you are going to get a check engine light because the rear o2 sensors need to be turned off in the PCM. i hope they dont do an underhood inspection.
