Default headlight (driver's side problem)

Hey,
So I bought this headlights off a member off of here(who seems to have screwed me). The driver's side one goes up but won't go down except manually. Is the motor bad? I'm thinking it's the brushes or hopefully something small inside but i'd like opinions before I rip stuff apart lol. Thanks!

What was happening with your original headlamp before this replacement? It makes a difference if pointing you towards a bad gear or a bad headlamp control module or headlamp switch.

I had the depo projectors. I don't know what happened to my original flip up headlights lol the projectors came on the car and i didn't like them so I bought these. Passenger side goes up and down. Driver side goes up and not down

Ok, The headlamp switch sends a signal to the headlamp control module which commands both lamps to raise or lower. The headlamp switch turns on the lamps as well via a different path. My first thought would be to look at the headlamp control module and insure both connectors are clean and properly seated. Question: Do the lamps turn on and off, regardless of the headlamp position, when you use the headlamp switch? Do you have the twighlight sentinel option? If so, turn it off for these checks first.

figured it out. I took the module off and cleaned it a little and just used dielectric grease. But it together again and it worked. So pumped right now. Thanks for the help! =]
