i have a 99, only mod is borla cat back... sometimes when i start the car and its already warm, it will start up, die instantly. then when i try to restart it everything is fine... i have looked in the search, found nothing, and i have no codes.. i have no idea where to begin
Both responses seem to be right on. Have you changed the fuel filter recently? If its a non Delc0, it could be the cause. Also there was a recall on starter/ignition switches years ago
i just got the car with 55k on it i have no idea if the filter has been changed but i will take care of it, looks like the fuel filter is a little pricier than usual on these cars

I you decide to replace it you must get that pricier fuel filter. It has a regulator built into it. Car won't run right without it.
the WIX 33737 filter is a direct replacement for the ac delco one. it does have the pressure regulator. many many people on this forum have used it for years myself included. I would place a bet that Wix actually makes the filter and then puts the AC delco label on it for resale.
