8" bose speakers not working
Hello, this is my first post on here. Hoping I can get some helpful info. I just bought a 2003 z06. It has an aftermarket head unit. All the speakers except for the 8" speakers in the door. I checked all the fuses, and also replaced the relay which controls the bose amps. I understand that with an aftermarket head unit, there is an "interface" that is required for the factory subs to work. I had the head unit out once, and didn't know what I was looking for, but I do recall seeing something plugged into the RCA plugs on the back, and maybe a small box tucked back in there. Where are the amps located on this car? I just wanted to get some opinions before I started pulling door panels off, or pulling the head unit again and not knowing what to look for. Is there any easy way to test these or diagnose what the problem might be first? Thanks in advance, and sorry for the long post.

You might try posting in the audio section of this forum for better help. I've got a '99 Coupe and the amp is located above the gas pedal. The Bose door speakers contain their own electronics designed to work with the oem items.

I believe the amps for those speakers are in the same module as the speakers. It's likely due to the deck install. Go to the Audio section and look at the big C5 audio sticky for info on how to make them work with an aftermarket head unit.
