Default Comfortable riding shock absorbers

My C5 has 75,000 miles on it and the ride seems to be getting harsh [less damping - more awareness of small and large road irregularities]. Gene Culley wants $604.28 for 4 "soft ride" shocks yet his 2008 Z06 shocks are $246.16 for four.

So my question is - who sells a "soft ride" shock for a reasonable price with good quality?

Soft ride? I was not even aware that a downgrade shock was available for a corvette. Sounds like it's time to trade her in for a Caddie.

My guess is there's little demand for a softer riding shock since these are sports cars and performance oriented suspensions will not give a luxury car ride. However your car your dime. That being said it may be a supply and demand issue...little demand for compromising the car's performance suspension, hence 600 Ben Franklins for that softer shocks. My .02

The stock suspension is pretty soft as it is. I wouldn't bother with the Z06 ones if you want soft though.

I put C6 Z51 shocks on my '98 and couldn't be happier. They, along with C6 Z51 sway bars and C5 Z06 springs, provide a tight handling, but comfortable ride. I found the shocks here in the For Sale section, lightly used (almost new) for $150. I think they retail for around $250 new for a full set.

OK guys - I don't race my car anymore -now it's a daily driver for 6 months of the year and it also is used for extended road trips. So my current concern is being comfortable when spending eight or more hours in the driver's seat. Sounds like I should just use stock shocks for replacement.
