Hey all I am new here but not new to forums. I have done some searching for my problem but I can't figure it out.
On my way home with the a/c on. All of this sudden it starts blowing warm air. Next day the light for the a/c will not come on at all. I bought a recharging kit and I tested the pressure. It was at 0. Added half of the can and now the a/c compressor will come back on but is still blowing warm air. My temp. sensor is fine. I am thinking maybe my compressor is bad? I do not have any hvac codes. Any help would be great!
A full charge is approx 3 full cans of 134a you are low on freon
What you seem to have is a leak. Adding freon without fixing that is a costly enterprise. Get a case at Sams and don't buy a can for $9 at a parts store. Get guages at HF. Usually leaks are at connections. Rubber O-rings that are shot. Might want to add a can of freon with tracer dye to find the leak than fix it and recharge. BTW regular O-rings will deteriorate with the freon and refrigerant oil. replace with AC O-rings. Sometimes just a slight tightening of the fitting is all thats needed.

Thanks hank, I am going to looking into this some more tonight. After filling with freon yesterday, its now back to zero pressure. I definitely have a leak. I think I will try the dyed freon to hopefully find the leak.
