Default outside air temp reading

The outside air temp. on my 2000 vert, reads incorrectly. It was reading 69 deg. when it was nearly 100 deg. outside. I have no idea where the sensor is located, or if that is the problem. I was hoping another owner had experienced this, and knew how to solve it, A minor distraction, but I would like to address it.

Sensor is located in the front right (passenger side) of the car, infront of the radiator on the bottom. 69* is the default setting it goes to when un-plugged. I think it's a 10 dollar part from the dealership.

Take a good look at the connector and the wires before you replace the sensor.

I had the same issue. As soon as I plugged it back in (unknown how it became unplugged) it worked fine again.

Careful though because everytime it rained and the unplugged sensor got wet it would send the temp reading down to -32 degrees. The A/C stopped working because my car thought it was really cold outside.

its very easy to get to. open the hood, its in the passenger side front kind of by the fog light but a little more towards the center. its held on by 1 push pin. as long as you can bend over and have arms you can get it.
