Default A/C question

I recently noticed that my a/c is set for the forward vents only however, all of the vents including floor and the windshield are on at the same time. Turning the selector **** does not change a thing. Help...

Default The vacuum line under and around the battery is probably eaten by acid

Had same thing. Many posts on here. My lines and the check valve inside passenger fender were shot. Use baking soda to neutralize acid and rinse clear. Use windshield washer hose to replace bad parts of the solid plastic tubing.BIGHANK

First thing: do you have any HVAC codes?

I did not have codes at all but had your problem along with the problem that cool (not cold) air came out of only the passenger side and luke warm air out of the driver's side.

I went all the way back to the intake manifold and check the line - there is a good DIY on it on the Forum - I eventually had to lift the right fender up to get at the area where the lines converged - I must have had a crimp because after removing them and reattaching - all was well. On my first attempt I replaced the tubing from the intake manifold down to the wheel well - didn't help so I lifted the fender and checked things out - the air came out of the correct vent and with coolant added it also blew cool air
