Has anyone seperated the seat track from the saet. I need to replace two plastic pieces on the track assembly. Do I need to remove the leathe and cushoin.
I'm assuming you have the seat out of the car.
Set up side down on the work bench.
No you do not need to remove the leather or cushions.
Use a racheting box wrench up under the foam to unloosen the bolts
from the seat frame to track rail.
I removed mine over the winter to go from electric track/rails to
manual track/rails.
Good luck.
are you just replacing the worn out rubber pieces that cause the seat to rock back and forth? There are 3 torx screws on the seat track itself that hold it together. one on the top back of the track and two smaller ones on the bottom just did mine last week. took 30 mins per seat.
The seat is out of the car and placed upside down. It seems to be impossible to get to the bolts holding the track to the seat. I need to replace the two rear Plastic rectangular pieces that hold the rear shaft to the track assembly. They broke and the seat dropped to the floor.
Ok, I now have the track seperated from the seat. Not to hard. Who sells replacement parts for these tracks. I need the two ears that attach the rear shaft too the track.
