2)The superior performance plastic we use is 6 times more abrasion resistant than steel making them slide very smoothly over what ever they come into contact with.
3)They perform perfectly in hot or cold weather.
4)They are only 1/8” thick so there is no noticeable ground clearance loss.
5)There are no moving parts to wear out.
6)They only weigh 5oz for those that worry about weight.
7)On the C5’s there is no drilling or modification needed to install them. The C6 requires four small holes (about 1/8”) and we supply the drill bit and the stainless steel self tapping screws for threading the hole along with Four Stainless Steel Black Oxide coated screws to secure the Fangs.
8)The Fangs give protection over the entire skid plate. So if you bump up on a parking block like we demonstrate in our video you are protected from the front to back and from the highest point of the skid plate to the lowest. They don’t look like you just bolted something on to your skid plate, they look like they belong.

I was down there the other day replacing my radiator and doing an oil change... OMG!.. I need these!
It cannot be overstated how important these fangs are.

My install experience was not easy though for a few reasons. First I made the error in not lifting the car high enough to achieve working and visual comfort...therefore I struggle to "feel" my way through the assembly...again my error there. Recommend this be done on a much higher lift than a block of 2x12 wood.
Second was the fact my clearence around the frame extention was biased to one side leaving me zero space to push the Fang onto the front end as noted in the instructions. There was no forcing it to happen either as the materials involved in both the fang and the bumper are tough and unyielding under average hand effort. I studied it for a while as I lay on my back, and came to the conclusion that some prying force was needed to open up space on that one limiting side. I had though about filing a greater clearence, but the file would never have fit either. A screw driver and some awkward manipulations eventually made the gap large enough and I was finally able to jam the fang in place up front and snug it up onto the rest of the extention as per instruction. This was on the drivers side.
The passenger side was similar but not quite as difficult, but there was a limiting space bias towards one side nevertheless which did cause me the same general effort as did the drivers side.
I know for fact the install would be simple were the spacing even around those frame extentions.
That was my experience and is in no way a reflection of the products design or quality. It's a nice product and will serve it's function very well I'm sure.

Thanks for your purchase and letting us know how your install went.

Out of all the Fangs we have sold you are only the second person that we know of that
had a bit of a clearance issue. I'm glad you got it worked out!
