Quote: ET told me this years ago, but I doubted him, UNTIL my GM DELCO Ceramics warped my stock rotors. I went with HAWK HPS and couldn't believe the difference in stopping, stopped MUCH faster with MUCH less pressure !

HAWK HPS pads are GREAT, stop better than ZO6 pads and dust less than stock C5 pads!
they stop well and are quiet. Some dusting but it's no big deal as I enjoy detailing the car and it's not a DD.

Quote: That is not was causes the squeak. That spray is for behind the brake pad.

Spray anything ON the brake pad and the car wont stop.

If you want a ceramic base brake pad to some what quite the brakes get CarboTech brake pads.
Take a look at the Carbotech 1521 compound.

Bobcat 1521™ is NOT recommended for any track use.

I tried the AC Delco ceramics and hated EVERYTHING about them and threw them away after about 1k miles. I ran Hawk HPS for years but they dusted bad and the dust was highly corrosive on the wheels so if I didn't clean them very frequently they would pit the wheel.

I'm running Carbotech 1521's now and what very little dust there is is pale gray and non-corrosive. Braking is excellent and I like to bend my car hard on the back roads around here.

Installed Raybestos ceramic pads on several customers C5's that had complaints about the dust from the oem pads. No dust or noise, and no complaints about braking performance (not tracked).

I'll be installing the Raybestos ceramic pads & rotors on my car when the oem pads are worn out.
