MattG or anyone...

Have you ever been to the Wasaga Beach Corvette Cruize? I hear its a big event in Ontario and was thinking about driving up. Its been 7 years since my last visit to Wasaga, great place and lots of fun.
You know, I have heard a lot about how awesome this event is and I have never made it there. Do you know any details about it, like when it is etc? I know Wasaga Beach is a great time in itself, let alone add a vette show into the picture! :D

Question.

Are any of you Ontario C5 owners going to Mosport on the 19th of May?

The American Lemans cars and the Trans Am cars are running. As well as our LG Motorsports C5 Trans Am race car. I finished 4th there last year.

Is anyone going?

Thanks,

Lou Gigliotti LGM
Lou, I am seriously thinking about going to Mosport for that weekend to watch some racing. I have a roadrace event myself on the Monday, so I think I will only be able to be at the track for the Saturday. I know your big race is on the Sunday, but will you be there practicing or anything on the Saturday?

Any other Toronto area forum members interested in getting to gether at this event?

Nick, what a great idea. We should organize a dyno day for Toronto/Buffalo area Corvette guys. We can talk more about it later this week when I am at your shop.

Any other guys interested in this? Anyone in any of the Toronto area Vette clubs that could pass on the word about this for us?

Lou, I think they are Gentilozzi Chevy/Olds, and Simo GMC.... :D If so, no luck finding a local area sponsorship there

Seriously, I may make it to Mosport for the Trans Am race...if so I'll be sure to stop by and say hi to everyone.

Nick/Matt - I would be interested in a dyno day if the timing works out for me.

Matt,

Not sure on all the details but check out this website, alot of the info and sign up is here.
http://www.wasagabeachcorvetteclub.com/

From another website: The Wasaga Beach Corvette Club is set to hold their Beach Cruize 2002 on August 16,17, and 18 in Wasaga Beach, Ontario Canada. This annual event attracts Corvette owners and spectators from across North America. There are many events throughout the weekend including the Cruize, Hospitality Night, the judging of cars in many classes and more. This exciting event is a must see!

Let me know if you think you would consider attending. Only negative I see is that its the weekend before Corvettes at Carlisle. I dont think you were there last year but we talked the year before.

Also may be interested in the Mosport race - Matt & Todd keep me posted on what your plans are :yesnod:

Looks like I'm confirmed for Mosport. Might have a couple extra media passes....

Matt/Nick can we set up a dyno day for that weekend?

What do y'all think about doing Mosport Saturday from 10-4ish, then possibly ARE for dyno runs that evening or Sunday? (thinking out loud)

If this sounds good to anyone let's get a thread going in Great Lakes Events.

Todd,

I don't think that weekend would be a good one for the Dyno Day at ARE because it is a long weekend here in Canada and I don't think many guys would wanna work a Saturday night or Sunday to handle all the dynos. I am thinking one weekend in June for the Dyno Day.

I am going to make a post in Great Lakes right now to see what kind of interest we can drum up.

Lamb, think you can hook me up with one of them press passes?? :)

I am racing the Monday after this weekend at Waterford Hills so I will only be able to be at Mosport for the Saturday.

Definitely interested in the Mosport thing for Saturday - but would need to drive back either Saturday evening/night or first thing Sunday.

Wall to wall Corvettes! Everywhere.. the beach, parking lots, streets/roads.. everywhere.

I went last year but only as a spectator... very impressive!
