Default Tires for Z06 wheels

I've spent a lot of time searching the forum and much time browsing Tire Rack for tires to fit Z06 wheels. My F1s are showing cord so they must go. They are stock size of 265-40-17 front/295-35-18 rear.

So far the only reasonably priced tires of the correct size are Conti Extreme Contact DW.

If I go up in size for the front to 275, then T/A KDW2 will work.

If I go down a size front and rear, 255-40-17/285-35-18 then I can put Hankook Ventus R-S3, Ventrus V12, or Kumho Ecsta LE Sport on it.

I'm not taking it to the track, it's just a driver.

I'm open to suggestions.

I went with the Bridgestone RE-760s in the stock sizes. I think you'll be satisfied for the intended purpose.

I put Toyos on my Z - good looking tires and perfect for the street, even in rain.

Thanks for the tip on the Bridgestones, I had missed them.

The Toyos look nice but I do not see stock Z06 sizes available.
Same as several other brands - rears only go up to 285 unless I'm missing one...

When I went to the GSD3's, I had to go up to 275 on the fronts.

It looks OK to me, but some on the forum say they can see the difference in the sidewall.

Good Luck.....

Consider looking at DiscountTire as well. I shopped both Tirerack and Discount Tire when I was looking. Tirerack didn't quite have what I was looking for at the time.

For what its worth I went with the Invos. Great price ~$870 for all 4 tires IIRC. However I'm not on stock wheels and I can't say whether they sell those in stock sizes.

Good luck.
