Default Bumpy Ride

I have a post already started and finished called C5 Clutch replacement. I'm still thinking about what shop to use. Excellent responses from everyone and cdkcorvette7. Thanks for the torque tube bushing tip, cdkcorvette7. I think they cost less than 30 bucks. And someone local in Dallas/Ft Worth area have me thinking about using the Monster clutch. Decisions....

Seems like the drivetrain will have to be dropped. There is no way to tell where the leak is coming from without dropping the drivetrain. And my car is riding kind of bumpy. Well, alot bumpy. Since the shop will drop the drivetrain. I figured it is easier to just do the shocks and whatever else need to be done for a smoother ride. I don't know the prices as of yet for shocks. The BEST shocks for the C5 or C6 vette or what exactly need to be done to take away the bumpy ride.

Am I on the right track?
Anyone have prices, brand, thoughts?

Has the car been lowered? If so, it could be bouncing off the bump stops causing the reported "bumby ride". Your solution could be as simple as restoring the ride height within the factory specified range.

There have also been reports of shock savers or something like that, were installed for transportation of F55 equipped cars that were never taken off by the dealer if Im not mistaken.
Just a thought

No. This car has never been lowered or modified. All stock.

And I read the other post about "shock savers". Never heard of those. Hmmm.. I can have the mechanic look into that.

Yea Im not sure what they are called but they limit the travel of the shocks to almost 0 so you would basically have brand new shocks if they were still on there.
I think I read one thread where someone had over 50k on his when he saw that they were on the car.
