Default Turns over, but wont start

So I have run into a problem with my vette starting up. (99 Hardtop, 6 speed, 100k miles)
I have been looking around on forums for weeks now and haven’t found anything.
So I went out of town and the car didn’t run for two weeks, when I got back I tried to start it up and it would turn over… fire a few cylinders… then just die. I cant tell if it is a spark issue or a fuel issue. I am leaning towards fuel, because this happened to me three time this morning and there was no gasoline smell. I would think that even though it didn’t really start up, I should still smell gas.
I am really hoping it is something simple like a fuel filter.
Oh and once the car starts up, it runs like a champ. No lag, no sputter. And I drive it about once a week.
And I don’t think it is security, because the security light doesn’t come on.
I hope you guys can help.
Thanks

With all that "looking around on forums for weeks now" did you notice that you will need to pull the codes to help diagnosis the problem. Use the DIC and post the codes.

Measure your battery with a meter and the igniton off. You need to see at least 12.5vdc there otherwise your battery is just too low for things to run. Try a charger on it and see if things improve. Yes, as requested, pull the codes.

Just tested the battery, its an optima redtop and it came back at 11.9
I don't really think it is the battery because the car will refuse to start two times in a row and then not have any problems. If it was the battery then the cranking from the failed attempts would drain the battery even worse.
I forgot to mention. If it acts up, I usually crack the throttle while cranking. It seems to help.
I will try and pull the codes late today.
Thanks

You need 12.5 or above static for the computers to run.

I guess I will look into the battery. I just dont understand how my volts would go up the tried time I tried to start it.
I also pulled the codes there were only two:
BO RFA:
C2110HC
C2115HC
But both are just TPMS.
I pulled the codes off the Dash Display

I tried messing with it yesterday, I left the ignition off and all the lights off. Checked the battery it read 11.9 volts. I tried to start it up and it fired right up. Then pulled 13.5V. So the car will start up and run with battery power below 12.5. Which mean that isn’t my problem. And leads me back to my earlier question of why it would start after the third attempt if it was a battery power problem.
I was wondering if there were any fresh ideas out there for my problem
Thanks Guys

You need to read Bill Curlee's thread about voltage regarding how and more importantly WHERE to check voltage. Do a search. The voltage IS important but if you are reading the voltage in the wrong place, like off of the DIC, then you are not getting an accurate value. These cars are very sensitive to voltage and your initial issue was after the car sat for two weeks. Red tops are notorious for issues like this. Good luck.

So I tested the battery and they said it was good, but not great.
I hooked a charger to it and the problems seems to have gone away.
So it looks like you guys were right.
Sorry I second guessed ya.
Thanks
