Default stupid question??? help!

Have a 2003 bone stock 2003 Zo6 - bought LG super pro headers with off road x-pipe and B&B Bullets planned on putting them on and a good tune. My question is am I in danger of messing the engine up or is this a good combo???? I am doing it more for the sound but dont want to mess anything up . Thanks!

If your only interest was increasing the sound level you did not need to purchase all of those items. An off road mid pipe and installing a bypass around the Ti mufflers would have been loud and much cheaper.

Not you won't mess the car up, but it is highly recommended to get a tune. Granted my car is on the low side with the full exhaust, it did pick up 28hp and 30lbs of tq with the tune. I am maxed out on my injectors as well, so I will be installing my 39lber's when I get back to my car next month.

Default No problems

The only problem your going to have is getting rid of the smile on your face after everything is installed and tuned! It's a good start and going to sound great. The only issue you might have is the smell that some guys have complained about with not having cats. Enjoy the added power and great music to your ears from the system.

well that and the loss of hearing. when i had bullets my ears would ring after I got out of the car. a good tune will eliminate the smell. i have tsp headers, no cats, and now have z06 ti's. smelled like fuel until it was tuned. now no fuel smell at all.

x2 on that with the bullets. Granted mine are modified some, but I still don't think it would be any quieter. I am putting the TI's back on when I get back home from Georgia next month. You are going love the sound of your car when done.

LT headers are always a great mod---( with a tune ) Issues will be if you need to pass smog where you live--they are illegal in most states just visually but in states with rollers-- the LT's make your PT (closed loop) fuel run rich---Which burns more gas-adds more carbon build-up--makes your 02's read faslely--won't allow your cats to light off----
No smog----no worries--

Those mods are great for starters and they will really wake your car up. I would also do a CAI if you don't all ready. And like others said get a tune. Enjoy the new sound and power.
