Default online GM technical data sources

Happened to stumble across www.alldatadiy.com and this piqued my interest as a way of getting access to GM Technical Service Bulletins (TSB), factory service data, diagnostic data, etc. The price didn't seem too bad either, especially for the 5-year subscription.

I'm not trying to shill for them, but I didn't see an equivalent service from any CF vendors (or did I miss something?)

I've searched CF, seen that a number of posts refer to data from www.alldatadiy.com, which I take as a sort of endorsement on the value of the service. Haven't seen any negative comments.

What do people know about the service? Is it worth it? Do commercial, non-dealership auto repair shops use this or something else? Are there other comparable services out there?

What kind of data service do GM dealerships use?

Have a Bud who used to own a shop and he swore by AllData.
I accessed tons of info at his shop when I had my 91 C3.

As far as I know GM used their own data base.
And $30 bucks for 5 yrs doesn't sound all that bad of a deal. I may look into it myself !

I've had it for years for the vehicles that I do not have OEM service manuals for and am satisfied with the service. It is not the same as having the OEM manuals but much better than the generic service manuals in my opinion.
