Default Help please P0101 code

Took the 01 Z out and wanted to turn off. Soon as I started it I knew there was a problem. Started shaking like it wants to turn off and sometimes would idle high to 2k. It wants to turn off on me and it just wasn't riding right. When I came back I noticed water on the ground underneath the engine. I pulled up codes and I got

10PCM P0101 HC

Any thoughts how this can be fixed. I pulled up the code list and see it has to do with MAF. Can I just buy a cleaner and go that route? Only mods are exhaust and intake thats been on for years. First time I got this code.

Thanks.

Does your intake have an open element filter? If so, when's the last time you cleaned it? Also clean your MAF sensor...

Sometimes clearing a code will cause the PCM or other system's to re-examine things and determine if its going to allow things to run or just set the code again. So you are saying after clearing the P0101C, its now back to normal? Pull the codes again or several times and see what you get. The "water" you found under the engine, was this "water" or was it "coolant"? What were the conditions of the car where it was last drive or sitting in such as in a flooded area?

I cleared the codes and it went away. Then few minutes later it happened again. I cleared code again and took it a few miles and no problem. There's no smoke but car was running like its out of gas. Idle would jump to 2k. The water is was underneath the nose of the car. A lot of water. It was clear and felt like water. Coolant temp is fine. There was gas smell when it first happened but that went away.

I took it out for an hour highway driving. I came home parked it and it wasn't till next day when I went to start it that it gave me problems. Weather was little humid no rain no flood. Ac was on.

That water had to come from somewhere.
