auto trans leak

My 1999 C5 transmission has a minor leak, I see a few drops every week or so. My question is "How can I check/refill the auto-trans fluid?

The only way to check an Auto Trans is to jack both ends of the car up on jack stands making sure it's level and remove the Fill plug on the Tranny. If memory serves me correctly the fluid level should be even with the bottom of the plug. All this is done while the engine is running and the trans in neutral.
